Great, You’re blogging. Do you have Call to Action funnels strategically inserted into your blog? You should if you want to develop a following, generate leads or sell something of value. Having Call to Action funnels strategically placed throughout your blog will maximize and optimize those goals.
So what is a Call to Action anyway?
Wikipedia says, “In marketing, a call to action (CTA) is an instruction to the audience to provoke an immediate response, usually using an imperative verb such as “call now”, “find out more” or “visit a store today”
Basically, you’re telling people what to do, what to buy, what to click, what to subscribe to.
Most call to actions on blogs are funnels that lead your visitor to a capture page requesting the visitor’s name, email and possibly their phone number, in exchange for something you’re offering for free that the visitor finds valuable.
It could be a newsletter, e book, pdf, podcast, training, to attend an event, get a coupon, subscribe to your email list, purchase a product, obtain more information or something else of value.
Through a Call to Action you can literally open up the flood gates to developing a following, generating leads and ultimately sell something of value.
Have at least one Call to Action funnel but I advocate many clickable Call to Actions strategically placed throughout your blog.
Some are very obvious like a Pop up or a sidebar Opt-In, others not so obvious.
When possible, have them open up in a new page, so when your visitor arrow’s back on their browser, they will be brought back to your home page.
